BUILDING A FOUNDATION
SO WE CAN HELP THE HOMELESS.
There are 8,656 people who are homeless in Ireland right now, of which 2,583 are children - a shocking figure which can only be compared to the level of poverty Ireland experienced at the turn of the 20th Century. One hundred years on and we continue to prove as a nation, we do not treat all the children of our nation equally. We realise the inequality that exists in our country and how all levels of society are being affected by it therefore, as artists, thinkers, creators and leaders, we urge people to use their gifts and talents to make Ireland a better place to live in.
Our aims are as follows:
To contribute to the fight against homelessness and austerity in Waterford City and Ireland at large.
Bring an awareness to the homeless crisis in Waterford.
To foster a sense of community spirit through the arts at Christmas-providing support for those who are struggling during the Christmas season.
Provide a space where emerging artists within the city/county/country can express themselves in a fun environment all for a good cause.
